Tell us about Antipodean Love. What was your inspiration for starting the store?
I like to think of Antipodean Love as a classy souvenir store where you can buy and send gifts with love from the heart of Australia and New Zealand. I have lived overseas and have friends the world over, when they were starting to have babies I was finding it surprisingly difficult to source quality handmade Australian gifts. It is very important for me to give and receive a gift that makes me feel happy and proud. I am proud to come from this part of the world and wanted to give a gift that was representative of Australia in some way but was not at all tacky.
What can people expect to find at Antipodean Love?
The store has evolved but fundamentally we stock a gorgeous selection of Australian and New Zealand gifts and souvenirs. These include but are not limited to gifts for babies like the divine Little Bairn range, home wares, paper goods, accessories and much much more. The majority of our lovely goodies are sourced from local designers and artisans from Australia and New Zealand. We only stock gifts that we love and want to share in your celebration, be it a new baby, birthday, anniversary or that special trip down under. We are here to help you find a gift you love from the heart of Australia and New Zealand.
What do you love most about running Antipodean Love?
I love that I created this online store from the ground up and have seen it evolve and grow. I love being my own boss and the flexibility and life that it allows me to have with my two little ladies and husband. It is difficult and challenging at times with the whole juggling act but something that I would not change for the world. I have also met some lovely people on this journey and I still get a real buzz from reviews and feedback from customers, a positive customer experience is very important to me!
